Execution matched to intent

Hyperliquid advanced orders: TWAP, Chase, and Scale

Proliquid extends Hyperliquid execution with six order paths: Market, Limit, Scale, Chase, TWAP, and Burst. Match urgency, price control, maker intent, and order size to current liquidity.

Every execution method makes a different trade-off. The right choice depends on whether you prioritize immediacy, a defined price, passive filling, staged entry, or reduced single-order impact.

  • Market, Limit, Scale, Chase, TWAP, and Burst
  • Maker-only, reduce-only, stop-loss, and take-profit controls
  • Active order, fill, fee, and position monitoring
Choose execution behavior, safeguards, and monitoring for current liquidity; advanced controls do not guarantee a fill or create available depth.

Six execution paths

Choose the behavior your setup actually requires.

Order type is part of risk management. Proliquid keeps the trade-offs explicit and the resulting activity visible in the relevant Terminal panels.

Immediate

Market and Limit

Market prioritizes fast taker-style execution with a protected worst price. Limit adds an exact price with GTC, IOC, or maker-only ALO behavior.

ValidateCheck max slippage for Market and price plus time-in-force for Limit.

Ladder

Scale orders

Build multiple passive GTC limit orders across a selected price range with controls for order count, price skew, and size skew.

ValidateReview the full range and total notional, not the nearest child order alone.

Passive speed

Chase orders

A Chase maintains maker-only intent near the best bid or ask by replacing its ALO order until filled, stopped, or limited by distance controls.

ValidateMonitor Open chases and remember that maker-only behavior does not guarantee a fill.

Split size

TWAP and Burst

TWAP paces slices over time; Burst sends repeated aggressive batches with refill delays. Each reduces reliance on one full-size order in a different way.

ValidateChoose duration or batching from liquidity and urgency, then monitor every active or completed child order.

Pre-trade checklist

Define the order before the market defines it for you.

Use this validation sequence for every advanced order, especially during fast markets or when entering larger notional.

Read the product guide
  1. Confirm market, wallet, and side

Verify the exact Hyperliquid market, connected account, LONG or SHORT direction, and whether the action should open, add, reduce, or close risk.

  2. Measure executable liquidity

Inspect spread, orderbook depth, recent volatility, and expected notional to decide how aggressive the order can safely be.

  3. Set the safeguards

Review price, time-in-force, max slippage, reduce-only, optional TP/SL, size, leverage, and order-specific distance, range, timing, or batch controls.

  4. Monitor the correct panel

Use Open orders, Open chases, Open TWAPs, Trade history, Order history, and Positions to confirm status, fills, fees, and remaining exposure.

Execution limitations

Advanced control does not mean guaranteed execution.

Each order type can behave differently as spread, depth, volatility, and exchange state change. Review the detailed documentation before first use.

Fill uncertainty

Maker-only Limit, Scale, Chase, and Limit TWAP slices may rest, miss, or be canceled rather than fill immediately.

Slippage and market impact

Market and Burst execution can cross multiple price levels. A slippage control limits acceptable price but cannot create unavailable liquidity.

Active-order management

Chase and TWAP strategies require monitoring. Market conditions or your risk can change while the strategy is still submitting child actions.

Questions about this workflow

Product behavior and limits, explained without trading promises.

Which Hyperliquid order types does Proliquid support?

Proliquid supports Market, Limit, Scale, Chase, TWAP, and Burst orders. The best choice depends on speed, price control, maker intent, market impact, and monitoring needs.

What is a Chase order on Hyperliquid?

A Proliquid Chase uses maker-only ALO orders and updates near the best bid or ask until it fills, is stopped, or reaches its configured distance control. Maker-only intent does not guarantee execution.

What is the difference between TWAP and Burst?

TWAP spreads slices across a configured duration and can use market or maker-only Limit ALO behavior. Burst sends aggressive market-style batches with delays that allow the orderbook time to refill.

Can I use reduce-only and TP/SL controls?

Reduce-only and optional take-profit or stop-loss helpers are available where the selected order path supports them. Confirm their state in the trade form before submitting.
